Panolapse is a downloadable software for Mac and PC that allows you to add realistic rotational pans to your time-lapse videography.
Typically these effects are achieved by mounting your camera on a motorized track that slides, or on a motorized head that rotates, or even both at the same time.
Another popular approach to achieve these results is to use video-editing software to digitally move your camera frame within the video frame itself, though the results tend to look a bit missing perspective changes, and therefore flat and unnatural.
From the official site: "Panolapse's movements are real-world accurate, allowing for natural panning motion.
Panolapse cannot add sliding movement like a dolly on a rail, but it can add rotational head movement.
Panolapse works best with wide-angle lenses, including fisheye lenses, allowing you to pan up to 180 degrees in two axis."
Panolapse supports all cameras, and works best with wide-angle or fish-eye lenses.
Panolapse is free for output resolutions up to 1280x720p.
For full-HD support beyond 720p a license costs $65.
