  • rechargeable battery
  • micro-SD card slot (up to 64GB)

The 360cam can also capture photos at 4096x2048 pixel resolution in addition to video recording and live streaming at 25/30fps encoded via H264 and saved as a standard .mp4 file.

Looks like a brilliant tool that allows you to cross-post, covert to different formats and rip audio from video and even adds watermarks. Better yet it's in the cloud so you don't have to download anything. If it does half the things they claim, it's well-worth checking out.

Many thanks/mille grazie once again to the master of new media, Robin Good, for posting this.

Al mejor estilo MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) Yotube publica cursos online.

wanderingsalsero's curator insight, May 31, 2013 10:27 PM

I WILL be taking this.  Sounds like a great idea.  I'm convinced that a lot of the stuff the 'gurus' put in their courses (the ones they charge for) is freely available somewhere.  In the case of YouTube, I know for a fact that they publish a LOT of good stuff that's totally free....e.g. the YouTube Creators Playbook (that I found over a year ago).

I am also convinced that understand just this one simple, well-known tool of YouTube is (all by itself) a highly marketable skill.  I'll bet if you walked into 10 businesses and just said, "Hi, my name is Art Williams.  I'm a YouTube consultant.  Are you doing anything with YouTube to build your business?" it would lead to several people expressing interest.

I think the key to making that kind of prospecting work would be to have several different 'products' or services available.  Some people will need to be nurtured for a bit before they finally give you some real business....kinda like going into a Denny's and ordering an iced-tea first and then deciding that you really are hungry.

How To Copyright Your Video Content

How To Copyright Your Video Content | Online Video Publishing | Scoop.it

Robin Good: If you are trying to find out how you can best legally protect the ownership of your video content, by using the laws and procedures available in the US, this article is an excellent guide for those just starting on this front.

"An original work of art, such as a video, music, screenplay, or script, is automatically protected by the laws of the U.S. Code, title 17 as soon as you create the work.

However, for added protection, you should place a copyright notice on your script and register it in the U.S. Copyright Office because that registration is necessary to bringing a lawsuit for copyright infringement.

The so-called "poor man's copyright" - mailing a copy of your work to yourself to obtain a postage date - is not adequate to secure registration, and cannot be used in a court of law to support a case o f copyright infringement."

I personally think that it is not a good idea to go the extra mile to protect once own content in this way, if it is published on the Internet and you want it to get maximum exposure and visibility.

But if you have the time and resources to go after your potential future copyright infringers, you are going to get lots of useful information in this introductory guide.

Informative. Resourceful. 8/10

Online Video Publishing: What Settings To Use To Get Highest Video Quality

Online Video Publishing: What Settings To Use To Get Highest Video Quality | Online Video Publishing | Scoop.it
Robin Good's insight:

If you need to get the best video quality possible for clips that you need to publish online, here is a good short guide to the key settings, codecs, bitrates and compression levels you should use to prepare your video, (thanks to the Vimeo support team).

While these settings have been thought out to optimize video publishing on Vimeo, you can utilize these references to prepare and save video files you may want to publish through other video services as well.

Very useful. Clear, simple. 8/10

Full guide: http://vimeo.com/help/compression

N.B.: The page contains also a very comprehensive list of mini-video tutorials covering optimization settings for most any video editing and production software.
